How to Choose a Web Design Company in the Cayman Islands

An honest buyer's guide to Cayman Islands web design companies and web developers: who does what, typical KYD prices, questions to ask and warning signs on a website or quote.

The short answer

The best web design company in the Cayman Islands for your business is the one that can show live Cayman websites like the one you need, gives you a fixed price in writing, and leaves the domain, hosting and code in your name. Everything else (office location, size, awards) matters less than those three things.

Most Cayman web design companies don't publish prices, so the fastest way to shortlist is to ask three or four of them the same questions below and compare the answers side by side.

Types of web design companies in the Cayman Islands

When you search for web design companies in Cayman, or look through a local business directory, you'll find five kinds of supplier. Each suits a different budget and project.

10 questions to ask a Cayman web design company

  • Can I see live websites you've built for Cayman Islands businesses, and speak to one of those clients?
  • Is the price fixed and in writing, in KYD or US dollars? What would cost extra later?
  • Who registers the domain (.ky or .com), and is it in my business's name?
  • Who hosts the site, what does hosting cost after year one, and can I move it if I leave?
  • Do I own the design and the code when the project ends?
  • Who will actually design and build my site, and who do I message when something breaks?
  • How long will it take, and what do you need from me to keep to that timeline?
  • Is SEO included from day one: page titles, headings, schema, Search Console and a sitemap?
  • Will the site work well on phones and load quickly on mobile data?
  • What support is included after launch, and for how long?

Red flags on a web designer's own website

A web design company's own site is its best sample. If it has problems, yours probably will too.

  • Claims like "most trusted" or "award-winning" with no named award, client or review behind them.
  • A portfolio with no live links, or only screenshots of sites that no longer exist.
  • Placeholder phone numbers, broken privacy or terms links, or copy-pasted service descriptions.
  • No price, not even a starting price, and no way to get one without a sales call.
  • Pages that are slow on your phone or awkward to read on a small screen.
  • Pushy pop-ups before you've read a word of the page.

Local office or remote team?

Several of the web designers who rank well for Cayman searches work partly or fully from overseas, so an office in George Town is not a guarantee of quality, and a remote team is not a reason to rule someone out. What matters is that they work on Cayman time, reply quickly, invoice clearly, and can show Cayman sites they've built.

We're upfront about this: Graphica Pro Artistry is a remote team. We don't have a George Town office; we work on Eastern Standard Time, reply on WhatsApp, quote and invoice in KYD, and have live Cayman client sites including Cayman Vibes, ClickIt, Pettie Tings, Gibraltor Stone Construction, AYCE Cleaning, Attentive Angels and Cayman Private Drivers.

Where Graphica Pro Artistry fits

  • Published prices: five-page Starter website KYD 199, 12-page Growth website KYD 1,585, or website, hosting and SEO for KYD 149 a month.
  • A small senior team: the people who design and build your site are the people you talk to.
  • You own the domain, hosting account and code.
  • SEO set up on every build: titles, headings, schema, Search Console and sitemap.
  • If a DIY builder or a different supplier suits your project better, we'll tell you.

Questions Cayman businesses ask

It depends on the project. Large agencies suit organisations that want web, IT and print from one supplier; studios and smaller teams suit custom, brand-led sites; freelancers suit small sites. Shortlist three or four, ask each the same ten questions above, and check their live Cayman websites before deciding.

From the prices Cayman suppliers published in October 2026: template sites from about KYD 400 to KYD 740, local agency five-page sites around KYD 2,500 to KYD 3,500, and custom builds up to KYD 12,500 or more. Our five-page Starter website is KYD 199 fixed.

For a brochure or small business website, a web designer is enough. If you need logins, bookings that connect to your systems, a property search or other custom features, you need web developers too. We do both, so one team handles the design and the build.

No. Google ranks pages on relevance, quality and trust signals, not on where the designer sits. What helps a Cayman business rank is a fast site, a page for each service, Cayman-specific content, a Google Business Profile and reviews.
